My dad made me sign up for this strange SpaceX investment site. After looking into it for about 30 minutes, I’m almost certain it’s a scam, but I need to know for sure. Also, how would scammers make money off this? My dad says his friends are getting actual deposits in their accounts.

Your dad’s “friends” are most likely in on the scam, and there’s no actual profit involved besides whatever money they can get from your dad.

Thanks! I’ll tell him.
Yeah, this is definitely a scam. One of the biggest red flags is that the site ends with .xyz instead of .com.
Your dad is being scammed, and he’s trying to bring you into it too. Hopefully, you haven’t given them any personal information yet. Those ‘friends’ who are supposedly getting money are just scammers pretending to be other investors.
If he’s set on pulling you into this, is there a chance he’d hand over your money, card details, or bank info if you refuse to join? If so, you might need to take steps to protect your assets—consider setting up accounts he doesn’t know about and freeze your credit.
Also, it may be worth warning anyone else he could get involved.
@Rowen
He hasn’t given out any private info other than his phone number to sign up, and he’s decided to stop because of what I found. I’m just worried about all the spam texts and calls we’re probably going to get now.
