Is this job offer a scam? Need advice

Last week, I applied for a remote Data Analyst job at AutoDesk I found on LinkedIn. They had remote roles in almost every state across the US. The job post mentioned that they were looking for someone who could start right away and asked me to email my resume to be considered. So, I sent it in.

Today, I received a job offer from the email I sent my resume to, and they want me to send an acceptance letter. But the thing is, I never had an interview, so I’m starting to think this might be a scam. I couldn’t find the hiring manager on LinkedIn, and the logo in the email was AutoDesk’s old logo from 2013-2021. I also noticed I couldn’t find the job listing on their career page before I applied. The only reason I’m not 100% sure it’s a scam is because it was posted on their official LinkedIn page.

What do you think I should do next? Should I ask the person who emailed me for an interview, try to contact AutoDesk directly, or just ignore the email altogether?

This is definitely a scam. No one hires someone without an interview. The fact that there’s no job like this listed on their official website is another big red flag.

Just delete the email and move on.

Yeah, you’re right. I guess I thought it seemed a little legit because the position was posted on their LinkedIn page.

Anyone can post a job on LinkedIn and claim to be from a company.

@Rowen
That’s true. I just meant that the job listing came from the official company profile, not an individual.

You shouldn’t have to email them and ask for an interview. Even places like McDonald’s interview their applicants.
