Is MoonPay legit?

I downloaded the Trustwallet app on my phone and tried to buy $120 in Bitcoin using MoonPay. The payment was declined by my bank, but my bank account shows that $120 was deducted twice. Has anyone else used MoonPay in Trustwallet and had this issue?

MoonPay isn’t a scam, but they tend to overcharge you, so it’s best to avoid using them to buy Bitcoin. Check the pinned FAQ for better options.

Trust Wallet is also not a great choice. It’s closed-source, has many security risks, is managed by a company with questionable practices, lacks important features, and has major privacy issues.

MoonPay is a scam. There’s plenty of proof online, and they even scammed me, so I know it’s true.

Trust Wallet is legal, but it has some drawbacks. If you’re a beginner, start with a small amount and gain experience through trading to improve.

Scammers use MoonPay, so be careful

Don’t use MoonPay or Trust Wallet. Instead, use Coinbase Pro, Gemini with Active Trader, or Cash App. After that, transfer your Bitcoin to an open-source wallet like Blockstream Green or BlueWallet.

Yeah, it doesn’t look good. The worst reviews all say the same thing: money disappearing or being unable to transfer it out.
