An old credit card debt has come up, and Midland Credit Management has been mentioned as a possible solution. I am assisting a close family member with some financial difficulties. As Midland has been contacting them nonstop, we have our doubts about their veracity, to be honest.
Does anybody know someone who has worked with Midland Credit Management directly? In their communications, were they clear and professional? Most significantly, did they contribute to a just and effective debt resolution process? Any information would be greatly appreciated, as my family member is concerned about possible frauds or hidden expenses.

Midland Credit Management (MCM) frequently sends these “pre-legal” letters, seeking to get you to pay them. They may file a lawsuit, but they may not. MCM often sues people for credit card debt.
Junk debt buyers, such as MCM, rely on you not to respond to their credit card case in order to obtain a default verdict. I’ve been sued twice by junk debt buyers, and both times I responded and contested the case. Both times, the bad debt buyers abandoned their claims against me and fled. Junk debt buyers and solicitors are a farce.
They are virtually always unprepared to face a defendant who fights back with good legal tactics. So, my advise is to wait till they sue and then fight the litigation. If anyone wants more information on how to resist these junk debt buyer cases, I can provide it.
