What was it like working for DataAnnotation.tech?
I first heard about the opportunity to train AI. But when I looked into the company, I understood why many people think it’s a scam. There’s no contact info on the website, and they don’t share who owns the company or where their clients come from. I talked to someone named Jeremy on Reddit, but when I asked about the company and job positions, they stopped responding. Why is the company so secretive about who they are and what they do with personal info?
I’m really glad to say it’s not a trick! I’ve been working with them for a few months now and I’ve earned a good amount of money. They test and train different types of smart computer programs, and they want people who can write well and follow instructions carefully.
Here’s how it works: Most of the jobs involve writing and they pay around $20 per hour, more or less. You keep track of your own time, but they check your work. If you’re not honest about your time or you’re not doing a good job, they’ll stop giving you work. But if you do well, they’ll give you more projects.
There’s a clock on the screen to help you keep track, but you need to record your hours separately.
They have Slack Channels where you can ask questions, chat with other people, or talk to someone who works there. You can also talk to someone while you’re working on a project.
You have to wait exactly one week to get paid for hourly projects. You get paid through PayPal, and once you click the “pay” button, the money goes into your account right away. But you have to wait 72 hours before you can click the button again.
They also have some jobs where you get paid for each thing you do, not by the hour. These don’t pay as much. For example, I did a job where I had to say how many people were in a picture, and I got 2 cents for each one. It wasn’t very exciting, but I could do it while watching TV. Another job I did was deciding if a post was inappropriate.
The writing jobs are different, but they’re mostly about writing. You don’t have to be a genius, just able to write well and follow instructions.
Here are some examples of what I’ve done:
-Deciding between two computer responses where the computer acts like Tony Stark, Taylor Swift, or someone else.
-Writing a conversation between a person and a computer where the person asks the computer to come up with ideas or stories.
-Trying to make a computer write something bad.
I hope this helps you understand, and I hope you find the website as helpful as I have. Let me know if you have any questions.
