Is Airtalk wireless legit?

Hey everyone, I just bought a Google Pixel 3a XL from Airtalk. How’s the service for you guys? I heard it runs on the T-Mobile network, but in some places, it might use AT&T’s network. Do you know what the internet speeds are like? And does it come with 5G access?

I plan to use the SIM card in my T-Mobile Galaxy Note 20 Ultra once it arrives and keep the Pixel as a spare phone. Right now, I’m getting 500 Mbps download speed on 5GUC with Google Fi (which uses T-Mobile’s network). Will I still get those speeds with Airtalk’s free service? Thanks for your help!

Congratulations on your new Google Pixel 3a XL! Airtalk Wireless does offer 5G network services, and it seems they utilize the T-Mobile network primarily, which may include AT&T’s network in certain areas. The internet speeds can vary based on location, network congestion, and signal strength. While Airtalk Wireless provides APN settings for 5G internet connection, there’s no specific information available about the exact speeds you can expect with their service.

Airtalk Wireless offers free phones and plans through programs like Lifeline and Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP). However, customer reviews raise concerns about poor service quality, including issues with customer service, phone functionality, and network coverage. Some users reported receiving phones that didn’t work well on Airtalk’s network, and there were complaints about slow data speeds. While Airtalk uses the T-Mobile network, coverage may vary, and it could roam on AT&T’s network in some areas. Additionally, internet speeds may not match what you’re currently experiencing with Google Fi, and 5G access may vary depending on your location and device compatibility. If you plan to use Airtalk as a spare phone, ensure compatibility with your device and consider testing the service in your area before fully committing. It’s also worth exploring alternative wireless providers for better reliability and faster speeds.
