I’m in the UK and recently had some odd stuff happen. First, I got an email from someone in China asking if they could use my website account. Like, why would I say yes to that?
Then, this morning, I got a package that I didn’t order. I didn’t even open it because it felt suspicious. Has anyone else been through something like this? Could it be that personal info is getting hacked or leaked, maybe even on the dark web? If you’ve experienced this or have any advice, let me know!

Hey, about that package—you might want to blur or hide any info on the sender. It could be someone innocent, not a scammer.

By the way, which account did that person mention in their email? Was it for online shopping or something else? If there’s no tracking info, opening the package could give you clues about what’s going on. It might help figure out if this is a scam or not.

An envelope itself isn’t a scam. What’s inside might explain things. If it’s an item, it could be part of a fake review scheme where sellers send random stuff to people to boost their reviews online.
Your name and address might’ve been public somewhere. In the US, addresses can be surprisingly easy to find.
