Does PLT really send offers like this?

Hey everyone, I’m a small TikTok creator and got an email from someone claiming to be from PrettyLittleThing. Has anyone worked with them before? Does PLT ever use Gmail accounts for their emails? Here’s the email they sent me:

Good Day,
We hope this email finds you well. As we approach the holiday season, we are excited to announce the launch of our newest clothing brand, @PRETTYLITTLETHING. Our team has been following your profile and is impressed by your unique fashion style and creativity.

We believe your influence and reach would be a great fit for promoting our brand, and we’d love to collaborate with you. As part of our influencer campaign, we are offering these benefits:

  • Free monthly packages of 8 items of your choice
  • Your own exclusive discount code to share with followers
  • Shoutouts and reposts on our Instagram and website
  • 20% commission on sales through your referral link
  • Payment of $2,000 per post, negotiable up to $4,000 as your influence grows

In return, we ask you to tag us in your posts featuring our clothing, either wearing them or showcasing the package. If interested, let us know, and we can explore working together.

Best regards.

Hi, just a heads-up to everyone new here. Be careful with advice in private messages. Scammers often pretend to be experts who can help, but they’re after your money. Always take advice publicly here so others can help keep things safe. If you see anything shady, report it using the button, and mods will review it.

Keep things civil and don’t post contact info or anything too personal. If you’re unsure about the rules, feel free to message the mods.

Thanks, and stay safe!

Nope, legit companies don’t use Gmail for official business.

That’s what I thought, but they didn’t ask for money or anything?

They might not ask right away. Give it time, and they probably will.

@Murphy
You’re probably right. Guess I’ll just avoid it. Thanks!

Why not just post a screenshot of the email? What’s the address it came from? You could also contact PLT directly through Instagram or Twitter and ask them.

@DavisH
Good idea, but I didn’t think about it at the time. Plus, I think mods here don’t allow posting contact info.

They also didn’t ask for bank details or anything personal.
