Anyone else seeing trading scams in YouTube comments?

Has anyone else noticed these suspicious comments on YouTube channels? I’ve reported them to both YouTube and the channels hosting them, but nothing’s been done. Makes me wonder if YouTube is ignoring it, or if the channels themselves are in on it.

To all new members, a quick heads-up:

Since you’re here, you may get private messages from scammers claiming they know a “professional” hacker or a “recovery expert” who can help you get your money back for a fee. These are recovery scammers, so only trust advice given openly in comments here. If you take private advice, you’re on your own.

Forum Rules: No posting of contact details (phone numbers, last names, etc.). Be civil to others (no name-calling). No posts asking to “scam the scammer” or for “scambaiting.” No uncensored gore or personal photos without blurring. Full rules are in the sidebar or right here.

Help us keep the forum clean by reporting any recovery scammers or rule-breakers. All reports get reviewed. If you spot recovery scammers in the comments, please warn others.

YouTube doesn’t care, they probably need a lawsuit to make them take action.

Until then, don’t bother reading any comments on YouTube.

That’s what I thought too. Reporting seems pointless.
I even replied to the channel owner, and they deleted my comments but left the scam comments up.

There are whole YouTube channels out there just pushing crypto and ‘get rich quick’ scams. Google doesn’t seem to care and even lets scammers advertise on top search results.

Hello there! AutoModerator here to share info on fake crypto wallet scams.

Fake crypto websites and apps controlled by scammers are becoming more common. Sometimes, it starts with a romance scammer promising to help you invest in crypto. They’ll ask you to buy cryptocurrency using a real exchange, then send it to a wallet address on their site. Other times, they say you won crypto in a contest (often through Discord).

But the scammer controls the website, so any balance you see is fake. Eventually, they ask you to put in more money to ‘unlock’ your funds. All the funds end up going to the scammer’s wallet.

If Bitcoin was used, report the scammer’s wallet here: Chainabuse - View Reports. If it’s Ethereum, report it here: https://info.etherscan.com/report-address/. You can also check how much crypto was sent to the wallet here: https://www.blockchain.com/explorer. Big thanks to forum member nimble2 for this guide.

AutoModerator here to break down task scams!

Task scams often appear on websites or apps that say you can make money by doing simple tasks, like watching videos or liking posts. Usually, they’ll ask you to complete sets of 40 tasks, but to do more, you have to pay to ‘upgrade’ your account. It’s really just another version of a scam where you pay in advance, hoping to earn money.

In the end, you can’t cash out any of the ‘earnings,’ so you waste both time and money. These scams count on people not wanting to lose what they’ve already put in.

If you’re in a task scam, the best thing to do is cut your losses. Beware of recovery scammers saying they can help you get your money back for a fee—they’re just trying to scam you again. Thanks to forum member vignoniana for the helpful info.

Unbelievable!

Scammers have been flooding YouTube comments for over 10 years, and nothing’s changed. They’re not going to start doing something about it now.
