Hey everyone, I’m dealing with a buyer who’s really aggressive and keeps demanding that I provide a VIN report from a website they sent me. I’m starting to feel like this could be a scam. What do you all think?

The whole thing is scripted. They’re just trying to get your credit card info. If you used their site, cancel your card right away.

If you used the website they gave you, you’ve probably already been scammed. Contact your bank ASAP.

If you paid, cancel your card immediately. They’re scammers, 100%.

The scam is as clear as that fake font on the website.

They’re after your credit card info. Stay away from that site.

Whatever you do, don’t use vinseeker.com. You’ll regret it.

This whole idea that ‘it’s your vehicle so you have to get the report’ is ridiculous. If they want a VIN report, they should be responsible for getting it. Don’t fall for that tactic!

I don’t even need to read past ‘aggressive buyer.’ If someone’s giving you a hard time like that, just walk away. It’s not worth the headache.

Please, for the love of everything, change that awful font on the website. It screams scam.

They just want you to pay for a report on their site, which is fake. They’ll ghost you right after. It’s a way to get your credit card info.

Exactly. They’re after the card info, which is worth much more than the $20 they ask for.

Don’t use the site they gave you. It’s a scam to steal your credit card details.

Total scam. If you enter your info, they’ll have your credit card details and you’ll be in trouble.

If they want a report, they can get one themselves.

It’s a scam. Block them and move on.

Just get a legitimate report from Carfax and offer that to buyers. The website they sent is fake. Even if you’re selling a motorcycle, a legit report is always a good idea.

They’ll always claim they don’t trust Carfax. It’s just part of their script.

At that point, just tell them sorry and move on. A serious buyer would never refuse a Carfax report.

I saw a YouTube video about a similar scam. They use your pictures and VIN to create fake listings on other sites.
