Is this email a scam?

I got this email today, and I’m almost certain it’s a scam because it came from an address at demo@ibrave.io.

Here’s the email:

>Hi,

>

>I hope you’re doing well. I’m reaching out because I saw a charge on my account that I don’t remember making, and I’d really appreciate your help to check it out.

>

>Can you please help clarify what this charge is for? If it was a mistake, could I kindly request a refund?

>

>Let me know if you need anything from me to help resolve this.

>

>Thanks for your help. Looking forward to your reply.

>

>Best regards,

>Alexandrea Carter

I’ve never sold anything to this person or seen this email before. Thoughts?

Yes, it’s definitely a phishing attempt. They just want you to respond or click on links.

I marked it as spam and deleted it right away.

That’s all they sent? No mention of the date, amount, mailing address, or anything that would actually help track down a charge? That plus the constant “kindly” gives it away as a likely scam. Even if somehow legit, they should be contacting their bank, not you.

@LillyGrace
Yep, that was all of it. No other details at all.

Don’t reply. Just block and report it.

We got a similar request with the reply to as alexandrea.carter@diwetour.com

Howdy, I hope this message finds you well. I’m contacting you to ask about a billing item that appeared on my account statement. I don’t remember making this transaction, and I kindly request your assistance in reviewing it. Please assist in confirming what this transaction is related to? If it was accidental, I’d kindly ask for a refund. Feel free to ask if you need from my side to resolve this issue. Thank you for your help. I anticipate your response.
