Another text from “AMPLIFIED DIGITAL AGENCY”... anyone else getting this?

I got this text just a few weeks ago and posted it here… lots of people said they got the exact same message too. Wanted to post again in case anyone else gets a message claiming to be “from Indeed” about a fake company called “AMPLIFIED DIGITAL AGENCY.” They’ll try to phish your phone and get access to your bank account to drain it, so don’t even reply or interact with these types of messages. Stay alert, everyone!

Attention new users:

Because you posted here, you might start getting private messages from scammers who claim they know a hacker or a “recovery expert lawyer” to help you get your money back (for a fee, of course). We call these RECOVERY SCAMMERS, so NEVER take advice in private. All advice should come as comments on your post where the community can help. If you take advice privately, you’re on your own.

Reminder of the forum rules: No contact information (like last names, phone numbers, etc). Be civil to others (no insults or name-calling). Personal requests for “scam the scammer”/scambaiting posts aren’t allowed. No uncensored personal photos allowed without blurring. Check out the full list of rules on the sidebar or click here.

You can help by reporting recovery scammers or other rule-breaking content by hitting “report.” We review 100% of reports. Also, warn others about recovery scammers if you see them in comments.

You’re right that this is a scam to avoid and not reply to, but “phish your phone” might not be the right phrase.

“Phishing” usually means creating a fake website that looks real to trick people into entering passwords, bank info, etc. It’s not really tied to the phone itself. Just replying doesn’t instantly hack your phone…they’re hoping you click a fake link and willingly enter your details.

Knowing the terms better can help people understand how they’re targeted.

@Jonny
I should probably mention that if you go ahead and make a Microsoft Teams account using their link, you’ll end up getting phished.

Just hit “report junk.”

They’re phishing…baiting the hook and tossing it out. They only catch something if someone bites…like giving their bank info. Just block and ignore, and you’re good.

The way they put the contact name and phone number makes it obvious they’re just copying and pasting a script, probably from somewhere overseas.

At least they didn’t use the word “kindly.”
